Wintersport 2008!
Steinach, Austria, Feb 10, 2008

Dusseldorf, Germany, Apr 18, 2008
Does BLONDE stand for only blondes allowed? Does it stand for Berlin London Osaka New-York Düsseldorf Eccentrics? Does it stand for Biggest Little Off Nocturnal Dude Ever? Is it a chat-room accidentally posted in the meetup part? Is it a pillow fight game with TravBuddy's? Is it a shoe-fettish meetup? Is it a beach party?
This topic raised a lot of questions. What is this all about? Have I missed something? And especially, why you would have had to be there?
It all started after the Amsterdam meetup January 26th this year. 35 TravBuddy's attended at this meetup. Soon after this meetup Lauro came up with the idea to organize a mini meetup in Düsseldorf. To give a farewell party for Bennie (BMatital) who's leaving for 3 month's to Brazil and as well for Charlotte's (vosking) upcoming birthday.
The first post was in the Amsterdam meetup topic wich was still used as a chat-room after the meetup. A new topic had to be made. Being blonde, Charlotte (vosking) came up with the idea of the BLONDE forum. The thought was by using a topic name without the city name in it, it would stay a mini-meetup. The result however was the opposite.
A lot of TravBuddy's got curious where this was all about. Many questions where asked. Surprising to notice that only a few took the effort to go to page 1 of the topic. So a mystery for many remained. But eventually a lot of TravBuddy's find their way to Düsseldorf. Many of them already joined the 18th of April. On the 19th there where 57 TravBuddy's together.
I had a great time that weekend in Düsseldorf. Together with TravBuddy's I already met in Amsterdam and many new TravBuddy's I met for the first time. To all of you, thanks for this marvellous meetup! To Lauro in particular, thanks my friend for all the effort you put in to make this a succesfull and unforgettable meetup.
